Welcome to the Tourism Industry and Enterprises course.
This course is about the global tourism industry including its history, development and growth. The course will examine different tourism stategies from various destinations with a view to providing a greater understanding of the growth of this industry globally. A particular emphasis will be placed on the economic impacts of tourism in various destinations and also the effect that different business models have on tourism organisations. These include the virtual, cultural and sustainable business models. The course will also investigate tourism enterprises and examine the operations, leadership and effectiveness of these businesses with particular reference to long term sustainability.
