How does academic writing differ from other types of writing?
Academic writing is different from other types of writing because it is focused on topics that are related with a common interest where scholarships writ for other scholarships, in this way the written information will be useful for other scholarships, another important thing to consider is that it needs to be supported for a personal point of view of the topic.
What is the function of academic papers?
To create topics developed by students, where other students can consult information and in this way create a personal database of information, where it will be used and classified in order to inform to other students about topics that are from their interest with a particular point of view
What are the concepts of academic writing?
1. Academic writing is writing done by scholars for other scholars.
2. Academic writing is devoted to topics and questions that are of interest to the academic community.
3. Academic writing should present the reader with an informed argument.

It means that academic writing is done by students according to a common interest where other students will be interested about, so academic writing is done by other scholarships and the information will be acquired and interpreted in a personal point of view.
Is it okay to include personal responses in an academic paper, why?
Yes it will be necessary to make emphasis and a difference among the original ideas and your own point of view, in this way you will be writing something different, with a different perception and a different perspective of ideas that you used in order to create the academic paper
How does one form an informed argument? First of all we should analyze what we know about the topic and write about it, later we should locate the important information and how it relates with other topics that we know and others that we don’t know, finally we should write our personal point of view and conclude evaluating and summarizing the information.
