TBD and YadaYada's

Jump to: navigation, search

Hi there ! My name is Oliver, I'm an EL4C21 online workshop student. I was thinking to contribute by starting to replace/fill in some of the TBD's and yada's. Actually had the idea to create a Dutch (NL) language: First Step with OOo Writer and Calc. But in viewing these pages, considerable high quality effort has already been put in, thought community would be better served right here , where structure and outline is already provided (Well done, practical and looks very nice!). Will in fact be an nice learning experience and can always see about translating in to Dutch in a later stage ?

Oliver,

I'm so glad to see your post here. I just now stumbled upon it. I had the same reaction as you when I started poking around the CCNC pages -- in fact, I started updating the Module 4 Calc pages to replace the "INSERT SCREENSHOT" entries. A few of us have decided to leave the CCNC as it currently exists, because the changes to be made would reflect more recent software/hardware and there may be situations where the current module suits people's current needs (e.g., an institution running OO 2.0).

But it seems to me that there is much work to be done to organize and enhance computer learning tutorials on WE. A few of us are thinking/discussing how to do this in a more planned way. I think you would enjoy being on our "team."

I noticed that you are on the main WE google group. Have you seen the posts about moving CCNC?

Wayne is suggesting broadening our scope to something like "Open Computing."

If you are interested in helping us, please consider joining our CCNC Google group -- we named it at the beginning of our discussions ;-).

Warm Regards, Alison
