Subpage structure--separate overview and intro?

Jump to: navigation, search

Wayne suggested a subpage structure which created a separate overview page to begin each module, to be followed by the introduction, e.g.,

  1. Module description (or overview) to include text summarizing the content of the module, and then an objectives template listing the learning objectives for the module.
  2. Introduction to include some introductory text and maybe an activity to set the stage.

The other option is to combine these two functions into one page.

I'd originally suggested combining them, but after Wayne suggested the breakout, I think it might be preferable to keep these pages more focused...the Module description provides information about what will be learned, the introduction gets the learner started on learning.

I'm posing this as a discussion question on the planning page as I'm thinking this structure should be replicated for each module.

Thoughts? Suggested/Preferred titles?

We agreed during our Skype conference (see meeting notes) to use the separated structure...with a separate page for the module description, inlcuding course objectives, and the introduction.
