I prepare ESL materials for YL using MI. I work in a context where use of memory and testing of memory are very important in the curricullum. There are fixed textbooks to make learners remember and reproduce. They don't gain any practical advantage from such a teaching program. Would anyone suggest how to motivate teachers to use MI for the benefit oftheir learners?
If the exam system tends to support memory and reproduction, then it is difficult to motivate teachers to do things in class that do not gear towards the system. Yet, some MI activities can be demonstrated to the teachers in their class so they can see how their learners work through the activities matching their intelligence type/s and gaining more from a lesson. The teachers may feel motivated to some MI activities for the benifit of their learners.
