Marketing of academic libraries in rural areas is a challenge because most of the clients are not exposed to the new technology that is used in Library Marketing.
Indeed, it is a challenge that most academic libraries must face head on. Academic Libraries must introduce these new technologies to their clients so that they must familiar with them...
Other promotional material that do not require the use of technologies can also be used to market the Academic libraries in rural areas, amoung these we can use brochures, bookmarks, community radio, posters and meetings so that our rural communities are made aware of the services offered by the libraries in their communities.
