[singing]] M-I-C (c ya real soon!) K-E-Y (why? because I like you!)) Just wanted to let someone know (you're elected) that I finished my project goal, which was to get a stable article up at wiki. Not sure where I go from here, but it's been great fun! Tallong 09:58, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

The road goes ever on and on, down from the place where it began...

There is no end to the places your new skills can take you. Have you thought of continuing through the tutorials to get more proficiency and helping to facilitate future workshops? I think you would be a good addition to the crew...

There is also a really fine group of teachers at IT4ALL who hold workshops for people who want to learn to use Moodle to teach better. These workshops (among many they offer) are taught at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels; each is about a month long and involves about 10 hours of work per week during the course. A new beginner level workshop is starting in September. Several of us who have participated in this workshop are also with IT4ALL (as volunteers, not paid), and Nellie Muller, a prominent WikiEducator, directs IT4ALL.

I mention these things, because I believe you have a valuable contribution to make in many areas.

Cheers,

Thanks for that. I shall certainly give careful thought to continuing the tutorials here. Re IT4ALL, the timing couldn't be worse: my husband has instituted a moratorium on further volunteer work until my business is off the ground, my book is finished, and we're certain we will have a roof over our heads and can eat. Not to mention that I have a publishing deadline looming on a community book I'm writing for, and I am taking an fine art and antiques valuation course - which reminds me - I think I'm behind on a module. Sigh. But with any luck I can keep in touch through Daniel and Supten and I'll be back.

You made a comment at the wiki talk page. I tried to note your suggestion, but the formatting got messed up and I couldn't fix it. Can you take a look? [[1]]

Ciao!

Re IT4ALL: courses are like buses: another one coming soon. Seriously, the IT4ALL Moodle for Teachers course is offered 3 times a year in monthly rotations beginning (how nice!) with beginner, then intermediate, then advanced. Each level is a month-long course (about 10 hours per week), so people can take a breather for 3 months and join in on the next cycle.

I have had more participation during this last year than some, because I have had a very light teaching load. I will probably be too busy in the coming year to be as involved in the courses, but I still value the people and the approach used in the courses.

As far as the wiki formatting is concerned, things seem to have got fixed; not sure what the problem was. Does it still look pear-shaped on your end?--Jrradney 23:22, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
