Hi Sandy,

Yes local time is the WE's server time. One possible solution is to use some javascript in User:Wakalena/monobook.js ...

Well Rob, sounds interesting - unfortunately I don't know what you are talking about :-( What I am trying to do is display the date and time from the point of view of whoever is opening up the page - or failing that the date and time in Australia (and then underneath that the UTC time). I tried getting into User:Wakalena/monobook.js and it looks like it is just starting up another page in WikiEducator - although it does tell me that after saving I may have to bypass my browser's cache.

I understand that User:Wakalena refers to my pages but what does the syntax monobook.js signify?

Ah, learning is such fun. Thanks Rob --Sandy Causer (aka Wakalena) 00:27, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Hi Sandy,

This could be a good thing as it may save you heaps of time trying to figure it out. So the short answer is there is no easy way to do what you are asking.

If you would like to know more about the file named monobook.js. Let me know.
