Getting started
* I would like to conduct research on... The students' reasons to be afraid in developing their speaking skills at basic levels. There are students that even though have the topic, grammar and vocabulary they do not want to speak in the classroom or outside the classroom. It is important as a teacher to encourage students and motivite them to developing spoken language because the main purpose to learn a second language is to be able to communicate.
' * My ideal job would be...' I would like to become a teacher that really communicates the importance to learn a second language because in the world of today, it is one of the main tools to succeed in business and education. I would also work in the translation/writing field, I would like to work in an Editorial because I know that there are many books that are writtten in English and that in many places they are needed in Spanish and sometimes the trasnlation takes so long to arrive that it can be late to use the info because it may be other more updated.
* As an English language learner, my greatest challenges in academic writing are... I think my biggest challenge is to use all the writing tools and rules the best possible. Somethimes it is hard to put all my ideas in paper when they need to fit in a certain format. Also I know that this subject will help me to prepare my thesis for my next semester. so I hope that I can learn as much as possible.
HOW DO YOU PRETEND TO MOTIVATE YOUR STUDENTS TO WRITE?
to write?
what do you think is the main reason that ss get nervous when speaking?
I think that first of all it becasue it is a new experience. I also think that students do not talk because they think they sound weird and that they do not know when they actually do.
Yes that is a very interesting topic because most of we are afraid to speak English even in advanced levels. If you were teacher would you rather to work with adults, young adults, or children?
