This is a project that I see has huge potential for NZ schools being administered in an open and transparent; but feel the tone is becoming Orwellian - assessments smessment :) I think the focus of an ePortfolio is too narrow in its attention to assessment, I see it as an a reflection of a students growth within the digital realm - a drop box to mix and match digital content with peers. Where parents and teachers get to look in and enjoy the spectrum of digital creation? I also found the need to create an email account for students unnecessary - I am not sure I want to take responsibility for connecting students to the outside world beyond the MyPortfolio system.
