Colaborative video

I confess I have know idea where my discussion thread replies will show up (above or below previous parts of discussion) so I'm plopping my reply over here. To answer your question: some of our pages simply need video and we try to add it where we need it. Some of my favorite pages are best served by still images and I avoid adding video just because I like the technology (and I do like it). I find that decent video takes time. A nice two-minute clip might take me an hour or more of editing, and my first little clip [1] required three hours of time-lapse taping, editing for length, a few attempts at an intelligible voice over, and then opening and closing credits. So, fun tool and useful, but more work intensive than a still; so I try to be judicious. CheersDmccabe 23:57, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
