Progress...
- We managed to obtain the share prices for Uganda Clay over the past 7 years from a local stockbroker
- We've managed to establish a contact at Uganda Clays. Luisa should get us an appointment soon.
- We have a meeting with the Finance Manager from Rennaisance Stockbrokers (Uganda). Our plan is to obtain more market information (ie market returns), compare their valuation methods with ours, obtain advice on valuation techniques and any other info on Uganda Clays
Challenges...
- We're still to obtain financials on Uganda Clays; Uganda Clays has no website.

thanks. if it is a listed company, the information should be available on the stock exchange where they are listed, and the information should be made available to the public, so their public relations or communications department should be able to assist.
I hear you Evelyn...The Uganda Stock Exchange is still fairly young and even public info is not so public....We'll make a plan though.
Guys let me declare upfront, this assignment is quite challenging and we need a brilliant mark. I believe it may be necessary to tap into the other Finance minds in the group. Can we keep you on stand by ...Jerry, Evelyn...

I am on standby. I suggest you perhaps make your drafts available throughout so that I can run it by this friend of mine. He is a risk manager at a parastatal and has indicated that he will assist where he can. SO if we run it by him early on, he might be able to comment on whether we are on the right track. I will use whatever contacts i have to assist us in this, if it is fine with you.

Do you foresee getting the financials Shumi? Evelyn should continue trying to get Tiger Brands as well in case you fail to get the financials.
We should get the financialls Hove....Luisa's contact is the Finance Director and we're trusting he'll have them. I agree that Evelyn should parallel run the info requests from Tiger...just as a back up. Not to set up a meeting, but just to request info on share prices. financials etc
