Hi Sujata,
I checked the template: Template:PrevNext and nothing has been altered recently. Also, the arrows are displaying correctly on the pages I'm working on.
Let me know where it is that you are having trouble with the arrows and I'll take a look.

I think the problem occurred when I disabled external images for a few hours. I reenabled them after I discovered the problem, and will need to find a solution to some heavily used templates (like Template:Clickpic) before disabling them again.
