Creator / Reviewer

Creator is typically the original author(s). You can list more than one creator. This is particularly useful when remixing free content from other sources (for example other CC-BY or CC-BY-SA content) and you have a legal requirement to attribute the original authors. Please see source below.

Some educators like to have their names listed as the original contributors while others have no particular preference in this regard. The wiki keeps track of all contributions (see History) which is the technical mechanism for attribution.

Reviewer - if you are reviewing a resource and providing a Rating, please include your WikiEducator User information.

Rating

Ratings by WikiEducators are intended to give other educators some general guidelines to find appropriate web-based resources. However, WE want to have a very simple rating system.

  • WE0 - resource has been reviewed but not recommended
  • WE1 - resource is useful. Instructors should review to determine if this resource is appropriate for their situation
  • WE2 - exceptional resource

License

Defaults to CC-By-SA. Otherwise enter CC-BY, or PD (for Public Domain) as these licenses are also accepted in WikiEducator.

Source

A reference to a resource from which the present resource is derived. You would typically enter the url with a piped link. For example [http://cnx.org/content/m14687 WikiEducator: Memoirs, Myths, Misrepresentations and the Magic] which would display as WikiEducator: Memoirs, Myths, Misrepresentations and the Magic

Required for content resources being reviewed.

Tag

A category keyword or tag to describe your resource. Up to 3 tags may be added. See Help:Category for guidelines for selecting Category tags
