Is there a way of embeding images or media with extentions that are not supported and canno be uploaded to wikieducator? I have been playing with scratch and wanted to embed the file I created in my user page. Thaks
I wrote the template's name syntax using lower case and upper case first letters I also created the same template with and without forced margins.
Results[edit]
- the template name does not seam to be case sensitive
- the TopMargin and BottomMargin code does not seam to work
- creating a template right after a section heading did not create any problem and I did not need to force the margins contrary to what is mentioned in the tutorial.
for reference this is My Sand Box where I experimented with the pedagogical templates and got these results.
I put these same remarks in the discussion area of the relevant tutorial page. --Maha (PinkSamurai) 23:31, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
While going through the tutorial and the quick guide I came across some parts that I wanted to improve on. As a newbie I am still worried about changing too much especially in things that would affect all users. In some cases I did make some changes and in others I only left a question or comment on the tutorial/guide's discussion page. I am not sure who I should consult or collaborate with for this. Would appreciate some advice. Thanks. --Maha (PinkSamurai) 22:36, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
I agree Maha,
Soon we will be creating a workgroup in order to make a general revision & improving of all materiales related to the workshop. I invite you to collaborate with us in the process. You will receive a message shortly. Thank you very much for your interest. --Gladys Gahona 11:51, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Thanks a ton Gladys. I will be looking forward to it.
You have a lot of great ideas, Maha. I hope you consider being part of some workgroups. We're having a miniworkshop next week on OERs that might be of some interest to you.
Thank you very much Benjamin, I would love to join both. I really appreciate the invitation.
If I forget to put a summary of my edit before saving, is there a way of adding this saummary later? I am conscious of the need to make the edits clear and useful. thanks
It is possible Maha, go to the history of the page, "undo" the edit, this produces a revertion to edit mode, then you will be able to write in the summary input box. Cheers.--Gladys Gahona 12:04, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Is it ok at this stage to make some amendments to the tutorial and the guide to make it easier or perhaps make suggestions first?
This is and example of a Suggested change.
Thanks
Thanks a lot for the suggestion. Be sure it will be considered. --Gladys Gahona 11:52, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
