There are very few Creative Commons radio stations,
Blueskin Bay FM 88.2 based at Warrington School,
world Creative Commons radio run by community volunteers and students

91 Million Conscious Open Source software users

  • Many may be interested in finding CC music - in varying languages and genres
  • May enjoy an advert free listening environment

Streaming Internet and Local FM radio station

  1. Show casing Creative Commons licensed music
  2. With a distinctly World/Pacifica/Aotearoa/Blueskin flavour

Blueskin Bay FM so far:

  1. 24/7 for 2 years - line of sight reception for 25 kms
  2. 260+ artists, 2300 tracks
  3. Positive feedback from dedicated listeners
  4. Music has been reviewed and acknowledged
  5. Student run shows - interviews of local artists, dignitaries and politicians
  6. Renewed interest from the local community
    • Ultra Fast Broadband to be installed at Warrington School soon-ish

Using CC - Warrington School, Blueskin and the Open Source community can:

  1. Share their thoughts
  2. Run a radio station transmitted locally
  3. Streamed to the world
  4. Becoming the voice of the future
