Recommendation 43 Collaboration between schools

Recommendation 43. We recommend that the Government consider that the Education Review Office reports include information on how well schools collaborate with other schools.

Comment: School governance legislation should be changed to make it easier for schools to share support staff and to agree to have shared school facilities. This applies to many subjects with a hands-on component. This is particularly true for ICT facilities so students can make great videos or use specialised software. It is premature for ERO to report on this but it would be useful for it to gather evidence of “best practice”. --Ian Mitchell FIITP 00:19, 23 January 2013 (UTC)
