Mr. Vipin Kumar Verma is a Ph.D. Scholar at Department of Zoology, University of Delhi. He is working under the guidance of Prof. Neeta Sehgal, Head, Department of Zoology and Dr. Om Prakash, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi. He joined Fish Immunotoxicology Lab as a research Scholar in 2011. After working on the project for some time he got the registration in Ph.D. at University of Delhi. After Joining in the lab he has published four Research articles in reputed peer reviewed International journals. Beside this he also published a Book (Hepatic Fibrosis: Attenuation by Picroliv and Andrographolide – Promotion towards herbal world) in International Publishing House. He is in the final phase of his Ph.D. thesis submission.
Mr. Verma works on Immunological aspects of fish including the parallel experiment as isolation and identification of bacteria from natural resource, purification and characterization of proteins including immunoglobulin from different fishes and develop direct ELISA to detect immunoglobulin titre in fish to analyse their health status. He also tried to explore bioactive potential and chemical compositions of few plants through various biochemical assays and Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry respectively. He also evaluates the immuno-modulatory potential of these plants in different variety of Fish to enhance the cell mediated and humoral immunity to increase Aquaculture growth.
