Objectives
Student Learning Outcomes:To educate on the care of Pediatric Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC). After completing this course, the learner will be able to:

• Explain the purpose of a PICC line
• Explain when the use of a PICC line is optimal
• Explain when the PICC line dressing should be changed
• Demonstrate, by explanation, a PICC line dressing change
• Explain techniques used to decrease infections when caring for PICC lines
• Explain causes of occlusions to PICC lines
• Explain methods used to de-cot if an occlusion occurs
