Développé par l’Université d’Otago (: Otago Polytechnic) dans le cadre de l’initiative OERu de la Fondation pour les Ressources Educatives Libres (OER Foundation), le cours LIDA103fr, nommé en anglais : « Learning In the Digital Age (LIDA) 103 : Open education, copyright and open licensing in a digital world », est en cours d’adaptation en français, à travers un partenariat entre l’UNESCO, ICDE, L’université Numérique (France) et le groupe de travail d’experts REL francophone.

L’objectif de cette version du cours est de contribuer à renforcer les capacités dans le cadre de la mise en œuvre de la Recommandation de l’UNESCO sur les ressources éducatives libres dans les pays francophones, particulièrement en Afrique sub-saharienne. Le processus de traduction et d’adaptation de ce cours peut se résumer en six étapes : 1- La traduction linguistique du contenu du cours 2- La révision technique et culturelle 3- L’intégration de l’approche des pays de droit civil, en complément de celle des pays de “common law” 4- La validation culturelle 5- La publication du cours en ligne 6- Le test de la version du cours adapté et révisée La première étape, la traduction linguistique du contenu a été réalisée par des traducteurs de l’UNESCO. Le contenu dans la langue traduite doit prendre en compte le contexte culturel dans lequel il sera publié. Nous parlons donc également d’adaptation du contenu. C’est pourquoi cette traduction est passée par une révision technique et culturelle réalisée par des experts dans le domaine des REL. Cette révision a été menée à bien par l’Université Numérique, qui a ensuite fait appel à des juristes pour s’assurer, par exemple, que le contexte juridique pour les droits d’auteurs était bien en ligne avec la région ciblée. La validation culturelle a été réalisée à travers une consultation en ligne à laquelle tous les experts en REL francophones parmi les lecteurs de la Newsletter d’ICDE (1300 abonnés), du groupe de travail d’experts francophones en REL et de la Coalition Dynamique de l’UNESCO ont été invités. La consultation s’est faite afin de s’assurer que le cours reste pertinent dans un contexte culturel francophone. La publication du cours en ligne a été réalisée par l'équipe d’OERu en Nouvelle Zélande, composée d’experts francophones et anglophones ayant déjà travaillé sur la série de cours LIDA d’OERu.. Ce cours sera présenté lors de l’Atelier virtuel sur les Ressources Educatives Libres en Afrique francophone qui se tiendra en Juin 2021. Les participants à l’Atelier seront invités à le tester avant son lancement en octobre 2021 lors de la Conférence mondiale virtuelle de l'ICDE 2021.

2- Technical and cultural revision

The first step, the linguistic translation of the content was carried out by translators from UNESCO. Content in the translated language must take into account the cultural context in which it will be published. So we're also talking about content adaptation. This is why this translation went through a technical and cultural revision carried out by experts in the field of OER.

This review was carried out by the Digital University, which then brought in legal experts to ensure, for example, that the legal context for copyright was in line with the target region.

The cultural validation was carried out through an online consultation to which all French-speaking OER experts among the readers of the ICDE Newsletter (1300 subscribers), the working group of French-speaking OER experts and the Dynamic Coalition of UNESCO were invited. The consultation was done to ensure that the course remains relevant in a Francophone cultural context.

The publication of the online course was conducted by the team of OERU in New Zealand, composed of French and English experts who have already worked on the series LIDA course of OERU ..

This course will be presented during the Virtual Workshop on Free Educational Resources in Francophone Africa which will be held in June 2021. Workshop participants will be invited to test it before its launch in October 2021 during the Virtual World Conference of ICDD 2021 .
