Thirteen monogenean gill parasites are recorded on 35 host individuals of the West African cyprinid, Labeo coubie. Parasitic species richness shows a strong correlation with individual host size. Only the largest hosts carry parasitic species rarely found in the smaller individuals. Guegan J.F. and B. Hugueny. 1994.
