The National Open School of Trinidad and Tobago a project of the Distance Education Unit.
ODL Learning Materials Under Development
NOSTT will offer a wide variety of free courses, some of which are equivalent to those in the conventional school and others that are unique to open school. Courses will be provided to the pre-degree level, including early childhood education, primary, secondary, technical and vocational education, ICT training courses, life skills and enrichment and leisure programmes.
In the first phase of NOSTT, materials will be developed in self-study print format with complementary multimedia resources. Initially, the level will be at the Caribbean Examinations Council's(CXC) Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) level, gradually expanding in the ensuing years to include lower secondary technical / vocational, primary etc. As NOSTT evolves, materials will include dynamic interactive multimedia electronic formats on CDROM, DVD and on the Moodle Learning Management Platform.
