Transferring registration data

  • Rob Kruhlak has kindly offered to help by helping his Bots to compile email addresses into a list. He is currently testing the direct export from the participants registration page into the participants table of each workshop.

Comments Works very well and saved me a lot of time with setup requirements.--Patricia Schlicht 19:14, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

Populating Participants' User Pages

A simple method for populating a user page with the welcome template, categories, and headings is to add:

{{subst:EL4C user page|Name=EL4C35}}

subst and Name are required to directly substitute the content into the user page and select the correct welcome template. A suggestion for the summary text is as follows:

Created with Template:EL4C user page. Questions should be directed to your eL4C facilitator.

For more information see Template:EL4C user page and the caution below.

Before adding any content to a linked user page, make sure it corresponds to the correct user account. Click on "my contributions" link (in registered participants table), there must be at least one of the following edition line:
Variable Date - variable Time - (hist) (diff) Learning4Content/Workshops/Online schedule/eL4C35/Register ‎
This edit confirms the user registered to the workshop.

Ideas for engaging participants in Wiki Discussions

  • Discussions first start at Google groups. eL4C mailing list. Newbies are not familiar with wiki edition.

Resources for Online & F2F Facilitation and Co-facilitation

  • There are quite a few people who are coming in through with emails to the Google Groups Owner, either asking me for help or not realising that they are not part of the forum. I have deal with all of them (5) so far. I found that often the Google Groups email ends up in their spam folders or unrecognised as our invitation. --Patricia Schlicht 01:08, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
