In this learning pathway we will explore the basic findings from the memory literature. Memory researchers tend to treat memory as either a set of processes, including encoding, storage and retrieval, or as a set of systems that categories the different kinds of memory, including short-term memory and long-term memory. As you move through this learning pathway make note of when we are treating memory as a process vs memory as a system of different categories of information.
