In this learning pathway, we will explore the scientific study of mental processes. As you make your way through this learning pathway make note of the ways in which altered states have similar neural signatures. By the end of this pathway you will have a greater appreciation of the higher-level cognitive processes that contribute to our distinctiveness as a species.
