Portfolio Activity

The scenario

Cottage Industries Ltd has sales data they wish to send out to retail outlets in a letter created in Microsoft Word. The letter has been created as a Word document and the sales data has been entered and graphed in an Excel spreadsheet.

Instructions

  1. Download and save the Cottage Industries Letter (Word document file). This is the document you will use as the basis for your project.
  2. Download and save the Retail Sales Figures (Excel spreadsheet file). This provides the data table and chart that will need to be integrated into the letter.
  3. Embed the table of Retail Sales Figures into the appropriate place in the letter and format it as necessary - leave out the column of 2011 figures

  4. Embed the Sales Comparison chart into the appropriate place in the letter and format it as necessary

  5. Replace the name of the Production Manager (Moana Ching) with your own name
  6. Save your work - you will need to work with this file later in the assessment for Unit 2
