My work with TANZ has exposed me to the joys and tribulations of collaboration. What strikes me most about collaborating is that when you can get it to work effectively it is very powerful indeed. There's a multiplying effect where a group of enthusiastic and focused people can take a relatively vague idea or concept and develop it into a vibrant reality that goes way beyond what was originally conceived.

Effective collaboration engages different perspectives and brings its own quality assurance processes to bear. Dialogue, at the core of collaboration, challenges assumptions and produces new ideas. The energy and engagement of a few committed people can produce wonderful results and bring real change to old thinking and ways of doing things.

The future of education, as I see it, lies in the ability to network multiple intelligences, experiences and expertise through readily available and easily used technologies that shrink geography and time.

I'm looking forward to a day of dialogue, challenge, new ideas and fun!
