Heywire8 Think Tank - my vision for open educational resources
After being brain washed by Leigh for three years - what can I say! Even before Leigh arrived I was yearning for open, full-text, online journal articles and books and some way to prevent us all "re-inventing the wheel"! Now I can only see a future for education if content is open and freely accessible to everyone. I would really like to see all educators everywhere using and creating and sharing open resources. Learners who have easy access to material to create their own learning environments which have meaning for them. In the current economic climate, it is the only cost-effective way to operate. It is also a means of encouraging innovation and re-generating enthusiasm for learning and teaching.
