From each according to his/her means, to each according to his/her needs... ring any bells? OERs seem to go one better in that there's no physical limitation on the 'supply' of an individual resource... provided you have access. Institutional reactions to 'open-ness' of teaching resources are interesting ... confirming value rather than wondering about barriers is my current pre-occupation, recognising that value can be developed in many ways. I'd love to see that value acknowledged in tertiary ed in NZ ...
