I guess we can blame the Internet for the ease of access to the growing bank of resources and information that is now available on a global scale. As the number and variety of Web 2.0 tools have increased, people have developed different ways of working and interacting together. That is, they share, they collaborate and they ask others to review their work. If you have ever put your presentations on Slideshare or Youtube, you will understand how affirming it is when others view your material, especially if they leave positive comments. The principles of openness concern people collaborating to create and share information, communicating in a connected way within a community or network of practitioners, critiquing each others' work and taking any opportunity they can to innovate (Conole, 2013).
As mentioned in the previous topic, developing openness is not easy. Eight attributes associated with Open Pedagogy are shown in the image, and in this topic you will have the opportunity to explore one of them in detail.
Please explore the following resource, focussing on one of the eight attributes shown in the image. For example, you might choose, Attribute 1: 'Participatory technology', or Attribute 4: 'Sharing ideas & resources'.
