Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)
From WikiEducator
This glossary is far from complete. We are constantly adding terms.
Background
The United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) created the IPCC in 1989 in order to collect and review the data that exists on climate change.
Work
The IPCC reviews the climate change related research and make recommendations, which are issued approximately every five years in an Assessment Report. The IPCC does not do research nor collect data directly.
