WEBSITE DESIGN (50% of the total Design for Screen 1 mark)

Project outline

Website design can be great fun, but websites need to be built the right way too. In this course you will learn the basics behind correctly coding HTML, the language used to create any web page structure. You will practice typing code in class, learning the HTML syntax to make one easy page at first, and then acquire more HTML knowledge to build more substantial pages. Short tutorials and exercises will help you along.

Then you will learn CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) which is a similar web language. CSS is used to ‘design’ or give an attractive presentation to web pages. You could think of HTML as the construction (the walls) and CSS as the wallpaper of website pages.

Additionally, you will maintain a research blog on our Design Community blog.
