  • Head : contains antennae(large),eyes-compound and well developed.
  • Mouth parts : piercing and sucking type.
  • Spiracles : present, 9 pairs, lateral abdominal in position.
  • exhibit Parthenogenesis.

  • It is larva of crab, develops from zoea larva through successive molts.
  • Cephalothorax : broad crab like, has anterior median spine.
  • Eyes : large and stalked.
  • Antennules : small
  • Antennae : large

  • leads a pelagic life before transforming into adult.
