Spiracles : present, 9 pairs, lateral abdominal in position. exhibit Parthenogenesis. Anterior region of Megalopa larva It is larva of crab, develops from zoea larva through successive molts. Cephalothorax : broad crab like, has anterior median spine. Eyes : large and stalked. Antennules : small Antennae : large Thoracic appendages : well developed. leads a pelagic life before transforming into adult.
