Welcome to Session 2 on Backcasting from sustainability principles.

These instructions are for: Thursday 8 and Monday 12 September.

If you have just joined us, you will find copies of the instructions for the previous Sessions on the course site. You should have enough time to get up to speed with the basics to commence your learning journey.

Backcasting from sustainability principles

In this session we take a look at how creating a vision of success will enable better outcomes because we have an ideal to work towards rather than harm to move away from. This is a backcasting mindset rather than a forecasting one and it brings the best out of people- the unexpected breakthroughs to what once appeared impossible. Positive steps rather than less negative ones. A simple change in mindset, yet huge results in celebrating what might be possible rather than dwelling on the past.
