Construction Materials

MODULE UNIT DESCRIPTION

This module unit deals with study of the properties of materials used in construction works.

PURPOSE

The purpose of this module unit is to equip the trainee with knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to understand sources, manufacture/production process and use of the materials.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

At the end of the module unit, the trainee will be able to:

1. Acquire sufficient knowledge, skills and attitudes to understand properties of the materials
2. Appreciate manufacturing process
3. Appreciate the use of different materials in construction
4. Observe safety measures when using the materials
