Frogs tongue as as a salutation has a story behind it. This is the story.
Imagine you are a frog, swimming around a pond. You see a fly buzzing all over the place, just within reach of your tongue. Your stomach is empty and you are hungry. Your tongue shoots out and greets the fly in a slightly weird way. Gulp. Yum.
