The calculation of FTE student numbers for the year 2005 based on the Systems Approach approach looks like this:

EQUATION:

FTESA = TESPODL ÷ (TESPFT / (TSFFT + TSFT-1 + TSFT-2. . .))


= 11,989 ÷ (258,963 / (32,751 + 34,122 + 35,418))
= 11,989 ÷ (258,963 / 102,291)
= 11,989 ÷ 2.53
= 4,736 FTE Students
