Outcomes

Upon completion of this self assessment the learner will:
  • Design a new query
  • Add criteria to queries by using operators
  • Alter the fields (columns) presented in the query
  • Run the query
  • Save and reuse the query
  • Delete the query

Portfolio Activity

Use the query designer to create a new query;

  1. Open the query designer
  2. Add the table(s)
  3. Set the fields for the query
  4. Set at least one sort order for the query
  5. Set a criteria to reduce the query results
  6. Set an alias for more than one column name
  7. Run the query and confirm the results
  8. Save the query with a meaningful name
  9. Open the query
  10. Delete the query
