Biology In Elementary Schools is a Saint Michael's College student project from a course that ran between 2007 and 2010 and fully described in this book chapter. The student-created resources have been preserved here for posterity. Link under 'toolbox' for printer-friendly versions of the exercises. Click on handouts to print full resolution versions. A number of templates are used to keep the teaching ideas organized, respond to written assignments. and provide other information quickly
These templates are for the most part used in discussion pages to provide rapid feed back on written assignments. Most are specifically designed for the Biology in Elementary Schools course.
- Template:Brands to encourage use of more global terms rather than local brand names
- Template:Metric advocating SI units for science projects
- Template:Personal to encourage placement of personal pages as sub pages of user pages
- Template:BEStemp A template I use to mark all of my grading templates
The plan here is to develop a series of safety templates to call attention to specific risks identified during the course of a lesson plan. This is a work in progress and we have just one template here so far

Categories are used to tag pages but do not add any content to the pages other than the tag itself. The tag functions as a hot link to a page of similarly tagged pages.
Within larger categories there are sub categories. Biology in elementary schools categories and sub categories
