Objectives

On successful completion of this section, you will be able to:

• identify the countries that comprise Asia and the Pacific,
• explain the geographic diversity that exists in the region,
• provide a concise country profile of one of the countries located in the Asia-Pacific region.

Activity

The Asia-Pacific region covers a wide geographical area, with diverse landscapes, societies, religions, cultures and economies. Because of the diversity area is often misunderstood. We invite you to share your thoughts on economics of the region by posting on WENotes below. For example:
