Searching Foundation Online + Form 990s

Actually, I mentioned this to the students, but because of the glitch, I wasn't able to complete showing it to them. I find the FDO Search Engine to be very powerful, and the Form 990s very informative. I will look forward as well, as to when / how you explain it to them.

Proposal Topics / Ideas

We've had some initial conversations / content about proposals - one of which has made it onto the Google Doc form you sent.

Some of the new ideas:

• to re-clad the Business Building on Livingston Campus, with energy efficient solar panels
• to seek alternate solutions for poor bus service on campus - including education programs and civic / student action
• analyzing data of hospital visits for more effective patient outcomes

At this point, the proposal titles are quite general, as the students get their feet wet with the material. I expect it to narrow over the coming weeks. I think you could be quite helpful in giving them some options as well, for narrowing their topic / field of interest - and then pointing them to research sources.

Additionally, there are questions / confusion about "Paradigms" - so, any help here, would be most appreciated!
