Purpose

Now we'll dig deeper into the content and the differences between academic writing, regular writing and the different types of academic styles. The purpose of this learning challenge is to:

  • Ensure you understand the differences between the academic writing and other types of writing.
  • Make you think how to identify different types of academic writing so your essays match the type of work required.
  • Consider your weaknesses as a writer and how you might be able to improve them.
