https://www.allfreepapers.com/Book-Reports/In-The-Insufficiency-Of-Honesty-By-Stephen-Carter/26645.html (Best)

The article “The Insufficiency of Honesty” by Stephen Carter, talks about integrity and honesty. In this article Carter thinks integrity needs people reach a moral level; it could cause conflict but has to be solved. We can trust a person who has integrity. He says that people can’t have integrity without being honest, but they can be honest with a little integrity. He also says that can be honest with selfishness. Honesty and integrity is different because honesty should be admire when we tell the truth with risk; but integrity can let us keep the secret to prevent hurt others. He explains that people can be honesty without integrity, which is fake honesty and immoral. Sometimes people being honest are because they want to transfer their pain.  People can absolve themselves because of self-interest. Dishonesty and honesty are very depending on personal interpretation. In a word, completely being honest is not necessary; telling the truth or telling a lie both can hurt other people.

Computers and privacy don’t mix

This article talks about how to keep the right to privacy in company for both employee and employer.

Is that possible to have same level privacy between employee and employer in a company?

In the article, Eric said: Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the individual to know company policies, and individuals should not rely on their companies to take an active educational approach. The best advice is to be smart and protect yourself. Your professional life may depend on it.

This is important because we should protect our privacy to insure everyone are in the same level privacy.

https://uk.marsh.com/Insights/FeaturedContent/The2011IntellectualPropertySurveyReport.aspx The 2011 Intellectual Property Survey Report

This report is produced by Liberty International Underwriters and Marsh. From the view of business leaders' side, we can see how they access to intellectual property and how they regard it as a source of risk. It is clear to know from the report that no matter what size the companies are, they all protect IP rights and view it as an incentive to innovation with increasing importance.

Who Owns the Copy Right for An Open Source Project

Description: This article use fun language to help readers understand open rights for open source and public domain. It is easy to understand, especially for this kind of law and licensing. However, this article was written in 2013, years passed and I'm not sure wether there are any changes in law in this area.

http://thesheaf.com/2012/03/29/is-digital-technology-making-art-better-or-worse-computers-help-us-create-art-maybe-a-little-too-much/  Is digital technology making art better or worse?

When I hear the word "art", I may probably think of a great painting. Those oil paintings value a lot, but I seldom hear a computer drawing would have great value. Probably it is because make art to tell their own stories, as this article says, but digital art is less able to say about the artists themselves.

4. Crime

http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/top-five-computer-crimes-protect/ (Best)

This article talks about five computer crimes. There were Identity Theft; Cyberstalking; Child Pornography; Spam and Malware. In the end of the article author said: "The Internet’s not a place without crime, but it’s also not a place where you’re helpless." We should always be ready to protect us on internet; learning some skills would also be helpful.

My question is how does the spam recognition system work? Most of time it's really helpful, but sometimes some important e-mail would go to my junk box.

This article list four example about accident which caused by computer or program issue. Article said constructive alternatives are at the heart of reducing risks, and it is more important than criticize others.

http://wikieducator.org/Creativity_and_the_Teaching_of_Music_and_Dance

This article talks about  teaching of music and dance and creativity .I would be the creative person, the creative process, and the creative product. I feel like those three flow into one. A creative person goes through the creative process to make a creative product.

https://www.boundless.com/business/

I chose this because I like the business. This Open Textbook uses quite a bit of visual aids, which ties into the last assignment for this class that had to do with accessibility. I would use a book like this only if my teacher required it. and lot of lesson have been already help me a lot!

Why Health Care Tech Is Still So Bad

It seems in today's digital era, electronic medical record system in the hospital is still not well developed. A 2013 RAND survey shows dissatisfaction on this system, which may lead to medical mistakes. Refinement of the software, better collaboration between academic researchers and software developers, humility are the fields that needed to be improved.

http://www.wired.com/2014/06/the-future-of-computer-intelligence-is-everything-but-artificial/ (Best)

The Future of Computer Intelligence is Everything but Artificial

I found this article interesting because it tells the truth that computer is smart in its own ways, it can executive orders accurately but it lacks of creativity and flexibility, unlike human. In four aspects, which are information retrieval, robotics, machine learning, and better brains, the article presents to readers that computing machines are rising. However, I found this article can be developed with more actual examples, pictures, and datas to let readers understand the trends of computer development. Then it will be more reliable.

Instead, this article, The Future of Computers is the Mind of a Toddler, is a bit more attractive. Its language is humous, and the examples are easy to understand and help to learn this computer trend for people who have not much knowledge about this area.

15 Ways The World Will Be Awesome In 2050

Factors & expectations:

* Between 1990 and 2012, the number of under-5 child deaths went from 90 deaths per 1,000 live births to 48 deaths per 1,000 live births, according to a 2013 report from UNICEF.

* Researchers are confident that within 20 years they can design a vaccine to stop the spread of HIV, which currently kills anywhere from 1.5 million to 2 million people per year.

* Already 700 million fewer people lived in extreme poverty in 2010 than they did in 1990, and the rate of improvement has also slowly increased since the turn of the century.

* Extreme poverty was defined as $1 day in 1990 but was redefined as $1.25 a day in 2008.

* If the lagging countries can maintain a sustainable higher growth path, the global poverty ratio will fall from about 21% in 2005 to less than 2.5% in 2050, and the number of people living in absolute poverty will decline by another billion, according to the United Nation's Food and Agriculture Organizations.

* In the U.S., driverless cars could result annually in 4.95 million fewer accidents, 30,000 fewer deaths, and 4.8 billion fewer commuting hours. They will also save Americans $500 billion per year in costs of car accidents, fuel, and lost productivity, according to the Milken Institute.

* Warfare associated with the Arab Spring has led Hegre to raise his prediction of the percentage of countries expected to be involved in internal armed conflict in 2050, from 5% to 7%, according to Apollon.

I like this article because it really present very detailed datas, factors and examples for readers to make readers believe and except what it says will happen in the year of 2050, because it's reliable. It divides into many sections that technology development will contribute to, such as child mortality, cures to diseases, poverty, artificial intelligence, renewable energy resources, gender equality, use of artificial body parts, etc.
