I'm Martin Walker, and I teach chemistry in Potsdam, New York. I am active on Wikipedia, where I help to coordinate the offline releases of the English Wikipedia via the Wikipedia 1.0 team. We released a test release in 2007, (Version 0.5) and we are working with Linterweb to release Version 0.7 later in 2008. This will incorporate material selected automatically from over 1.3 million WikiProject assessments. After that, we expect to be able to use individual WikiProjects to produce large numbers of custom releases to meet their own goals, and I believe that WikiEducator could help with this. We also hope to collaborate with other groups such as One Laptop Per Child.
