Intellectual property supports many jobs because business depend on copyrights, patents and trademarks to protect their work and giving someone else the ability to profit from their ideas and this is a great resource on how that is done.

This website is a great guide to the different computer crimes and/or online issues and how to prevent or avoid them.

We chose this article because it is a good example of how present day technology has enabled students’ access to information beyond what anyone has ever thought possible. According to the article is explains how smart phones are being hacked. Most people have a lot of information on their smart phones because that is like a computer that people carry around and most people have private information on their computer. Now since smart phones are becoming more used so it is becoming easier for people to hack into phones and gain information from businesses.

This article is the opposite how freedom of speech is supposed to make people feel. With freedom of Speech we are supposed to feel as if we are speaking a powerful message that will mean something but this article is about a British Soccer player is fighting Twitter to have these people on twitter who are talking about him be revealed. Even though the soccer player filed the complaint in Britain the Twitter company was still located in America and they had to abide by the law in the United States so Twitter was unable to give the names of the Twitter people who were commenting and posting things about the British player because according to America's law that the people have a right to express how they feel.

Forbes discusses how the Internet and social networking sites have allowed a multitude of freedom of speech. With it reaching a great mass of how much free speech is made on the social networks like Facebook, Tweeter, and etc. many people want them to regulate the flow of what people say. However, it is hard to censor everything and also make sure that they are giving people their free speech.

TED is a great blog where you can learn about basically any topic that interest you. This video is basically how in society today we have three types of online attacks on our privacy and data, but only two of them are considered crimes.

It explains how some apps that some people download are actually a way for people to hijack all the phone information. Basically if you use your smart phone for personal things as well as business things that someone can hijack all that information and basically download it all illegally.

The article basically explains how the world would be like if there was no copyright.
-What does open source mean?:
This article explains Open Source and what is actually does for our technology and how it is useful for us as society to have and know what it is.
-Most accurate robotic legs mimic human walking gait:This video is actually really interesting. It shows how far we have come with our technology since we are able to create robotic legs that actually work.
-A Shared Culture:
This video is great because Creative Commons allows people to share their art work around the world with the identity of them being private without the worry about copyright.

An article is about how a computer program was designed to help with crime solving. Certain cities have taken up this program and have actually decreased crime. With this program it was supposed to make it easier to catch criminals and thankfully it has.
- Using Hacking Skills to Protect Companies: The article from the LA times basically states how a hacker is now getting paid to hack into businesses servers to access information. It allows companies to see how safe their information is and how weak their system is as well, but it also shows how people are full of greed and will hack systems in order to get what they want.
- Crime News: Computer security and crime prevention tips for businesses: The article talks about how computers are used for illegal crimes. They hack your system to gain entrance in order to be able to alter certain things on your computer. Everything you store on computer can be stolen or used against you for identify fraud.
- High-tech hacker gets almost 8 years in $3M Seattle theft ring: This article actually talks about an actual hacker who hacked into other people’s computers and stole identity’s and took millions from local businesses.

Another good point that they added was the statistics they added in the article about how many people are not employed anymore and they made it very clear that the percentage they have does not include the people who gave up on looking for jobs.

This article was about the Obama is trying to help with the great repression.
- The Ultimate Distance Learning:
This is about how distance learning can be good, but bad for education. It is a nice way to interact with people, but the class can get sabotaged if someone comes into the class and just starts shooting arrows.

This article talks about how college campuses are actually a great source for the newest way of thinking. Although education changes do not change that much for undergraduate educations many people are wondering how the technology will be different at university in the future.

This website is what this this section is based on. It gives basically the main goals they stand for.
- UNICEF:
This is organization that helps out one of the Goals for the Millennium by helping disadvantaged children gain and education.
- Child Aid:
This organization again helps out the with the Millennium spread education to less fortunate countries. They help conduct school and library-based reading programs.
- The World Bank:
They help developing countries through policy advice, research and study, and technical assistance.
- AIDS Walk:
This website shows where all the AIDS walk happen in the world. They help raise money to find a cure for AIDS. This walk is important to many and many people come out and enjoy walking for something important.

This article in way because they are showing the world how school is changing once we get of high school because of machine intelligence. Without the computer we would not be able to take online classes like we can for this class.
