==My Career==

I am currently responsible for the coordination and development of the libraries in the primary school system. My office is located at the National Library Building and my section falls under Educational Library Services Division,NALIS Over the last ten months, ELSD has undertaken a survey to gather baseline data on the primary school libraries.

Roles and responsibilities

1. Visit school libraries in the North East Region
   • Submit summary of visits for submission on a weekly basis
   • Submit full report on visit within a two week period
2. Provide telephone and office consultations
3. Assist in the creation and revision of policy documents
4. Prepare and submit monthly reports
5. Provide formal and informal training for school library personnel
   • 20 persons per session usually at School Library Services
     • on the job as required
6. Participate in orientation sessions for new recruits as required
