In regards to my midterm project for MDG (Millennium Development Goal), I chose poverty and hunger, along with the universal primary education. I end up researching for these two topics because it is mainly the two biggest problems back in my country, the Philippines. The summarization of my topics include "corruption", the biggest roadblock to achieve and eliminate these problems in this country. Instead of using the funds to upgrade the technology nationwide by means of an Internet access, they use all the money for their own interests. There are remote areas that cannot even be reached by electricity, so by giving attention to these issues, the issues for lack of education and poverty will be a step closer to eliminating it.

- This article discusses the possible reality in eliminating poverty in the Philippines. Based on this article, they have managed to decrease the number of poverty by the boost of the economic growth in the country. This translated into more jobs and higher incomes.

This new anti-poverty program called CCT(Conditional Cash Transfer) has somewhat reduced the overall poverty situation in the Philippines. I think that with this new system, it will give families the chance to eliminate hunger to say the least.

Years later, they have expanded the idea and they have launched hundreds of 'kariton classrooms' nationwide. This has nothing to do with any high technology or any in that regard, but with this idea in bringing a classroom to a neighborhood that really needs help in education makes a huge difference for the future of this country and for this kids.

- I chose this topic for this discussion because I really believe that self-driving cars will be the next big thing in years to come. Especially with the increasing death rate of car accidents in recent years, I think it is just about time to introduce the self-driving car to the society. The question is, do they work very accurate as far as their exact calculations in driving a car using a computer machine? This is when responsibility sets in on anybody that uses the Internet. We should be very careful what we do online because we do not really know what might happen while online. There are already a crowded number of hackers and scammers online, so by being cautious and responsible we will be able to avoid this type of incidents like the teen that lost her life because of unawareness.
