Introduction
This article interests me because it brings up different perspectives - like how another person would feel if you communicated with him/her negatively online. It brings up a lot of ideas that all online users should keep in mind everyday- “Treat others they way you want to be treated,” “Don’t forget the human behind the screen,” “Listen first, talk later,”. In my own experience, I realize that sometimes I reply to a message online almost instantaneously. It's important to be a more careful listener before replying to someone. If one doesn't listen to this rule, he/she could end up damaging his/her relationship with the other person. It also reminds us of the unseen danger online profiles can cause as you can pretend to be anyone online. Key words include: Behavior and Communication.

This article was very fun to read because it gave me tips and tricks on some out of the box googling one can do with the search engine. One trick I liked was searching for recursion as It could've mean't a programming term in computer language. This article showed me a more human side to searching on Google. Searching doesn't have to always be boring! It can be fun as well.
This article was good because it gave digital citizens a guide on how to protect themselves online and practice good online habits. This guide helps people practice better security habits which could eventually save them a lot of money as the chances of them getting scanned are lessened.
I liked the 2nd article because it gave me tips and tricks on some out of the box googling one can do with the search engine. It taught me many tricks and tips and also I learned more about Google and how it works.

I believe that it is important for digital users all around the world to gain a good sense of online & offline privacy as this issue becomes more and more important in our interconnected world. It is important to familiarize ourselves with good password creation practices and basic computer functions in order to ensure our privacy, safety, and confidential information is not being spied or used illegally. If everyone had better privacy practices on their computer, there would be less people being hacked every day. Hacking so so much more prevalent in our modern society because anyone is able to learn how to hack a computer with simple devices.

Now a days, people are able to view all kinds of different art online and that increases intellectual property problems. I liked the first article best because it talks about how computers are changing the way we are living our lives everyday. This is important to the K-8 Engineering discussion because in this modern society, we need to be able to educate our youth for the future. Technology is so prevalent in our lives and it will be important for youth to understand how it works.
This article talks about tools that can be used for someone with accesibility problems. These tools include calculators, timers, and audio players which can be used for writing. I didn't know there were this many accesibility tools for people to use in order to write. Now a days, there are things like google voice embedded in Google Docs and voice diction in mac computers which help users type on the computer via voice without needed to touch a key.

The author talks about the history of MOOC's from the very beginning. He gives us an in depth look into the development of MOOC's since 2008. I learned that MOOC's started off by researchers in Canada as an experiment to see how better students can learn online. The only think i disliked is how this article kept referencing other articles in order to explain the history. \
I like this article because it is indepth providing the data of MOOC users across many different platforms. It also gives us many reasons about why we should take a MOOC ourselves.

The Department of Homeland Security has worked hard to secure America's cyberspace since 9/11. They implemented the National Cybersecurity Protection System which helps analyze all cyber activities online. It also helps protect infrastructure of the government from any hackers.
It also has the US Computer Emergency Readiness Team which works with anti virus companies to create safeguards to stop hackers.

The White House is working hard to make sure our cyber space is safe after the 9/11 event. One way they are doing this is partnering the different parts of government together to share information about security. Greater cooperation between department will make the cyberspace for the government safer and more cohesive. It is important to share vital security information with each other because an isolated department wouldn't have much safeguards and innovation as a department with up to date knowledge.
President Obama is working to make sure our cyber space is safe as well. He announced a cybersecurity legislative proposal to improve our infrastructures and secure them. As part of this initiative, the government is helping local law enforcement around the country have the necessary tools to conduct their investigations and be able to "prosecute cyber crime".

I liked the last article from a beginner's perspective of machine intelligence. He explains it in depth but this article would not be friendly for a beginner as he puts up a lot of technical jargon.

Codeschool is a great resource for kids because it teaches a lot of different languages in depth. The only downside to codeschool is if you want to get full indepth access to their materials, you have to pay a monthly fee. If one has the money to afford it, this would probably be a really good choice to learn the material in depth compared to codeacademy which merely teaches the shallow waters of coding.
This article talks about how we are using computers to store digital information in DNA. This revolutionary idea and concept is taking hold as we are discovering more uses with our DNA and its integration with technology.

This article talks about the failures in the technology field of 2014. One of the most prominent is the Google Glass. I personally really love the Google Glass and its concept for the future but nonetheless it proved to be a failure in the mass market. According to this article, google glass was a failure due to half of app developers not working on the Google glass and a lot of privacy laws came up. A lot of people felt uncomfortable with someone wearing Google Glass because they could not tell whether or not that person was recording them or not. When Google was faced with many privacy lawsuits, they were forced to withdraw.
i like the last article because it is like a blast from past. It talked about the technologies back then which i still think is pretty cool today. It shows us how something so advanced and cool looking can become a disaster.

The website itself allow people to donate to the cause and has a full list of issues and bernie's stances on them. Another thing I like about this website is it gives us links and information on volunteering for the campaign if we want to get more in depth into the political process. It gives us resources to meet with our local political organizers. All in all, this website is the all in one package of what an ideal political website should be like.

This website is not user friendly at all. Although john does the bare minimum in giving potential voters his stances on issues, he doesn't really expand on those issues. He has no links for people to get more involved in the political process (volunteering, donating) and all he has is a huge chunk of information just laid out on the front page. Another minor thing I dislike is his color choice for the website - Maroon. It's not a eye catching color for a political website.

I liked this technology because it is able to give South African youth an education all in their mobile devices. I took a class about South Africa during my freshman year and I learned that there is a HUGE education problem over there. Many teachers aren't motivated and there is also a shortage of teachers. This app will allow children everywhere to gain literacy skills and that will affect how they will develop for the rest of their lives.

This data will change over time because there will be more phone users every year. This quantitative information is presented via text rather than a graph (which I would've enjoyed more). They are an important invention because prosthetic these days aren't as effective as robotic limbs because they don't intuitively move with the user in mind. Robotic limbs will help disabled people regain motor functionality and be able to live normal lives again. The author/creator of this robotic arm shows us that we can help people grasp objects again since they will have a complete body due to robotic limbs.
Apart from prosthetic limbs, robotic arms will allow us to build things we haven't previously been able to. Such examples exist already in places such as the Tesla factory in Fremont. $50000 robot arms are helping assemble and weld car chassis parts together and this speeds up the process to build cars. Due to overwhelmingly high demand for Tesla cars, robots help speed up production and keep consumers happy be helping the company deliver on time.
I believe robotic arms will have a huge impact in technology and society. I hope that these new robots will help us in space and colonization in the far future.
