Francis Donkor was the Head of the Department of Technology Education, University of Education, Winneba from September 1, 2005 to August 31, 2007. He has been teaching in the University since November 1996. On September 1, 2007, he proceeded on sabbatical leave and joined the President’s Special Initiative on Distance Learning where he is currently the Deputy Coordinator in charge of TVET .
Francis Donkor holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Astrakhan Technical Institute of Fisheries, Russia. Additionally, he holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Vocational and Technical Education from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Regarding membership of professional bodies, Francis is an Associate Member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers (AMGhIE) and a Member of the Ghana Science Association (MGSA).
Francis Donkor has served on a number of committees and boards. He served two terms on the University Governing Council from July 2003 to March 2007 and has been a member of the Academic Board since October 2000. Until September 2005 to , he had been a member of the Faculty of Applied Arts and Technology Education Board for more than five years. From September, 2005 to August, 2007 he was also a member of the Faculty of Technology Education Board. Francis was the Faculty Examinations Officer of the Faculty of Applied Arts and Technology Education from October 2000 to August 2005.
