Sugar, Etoys and Turtle Blocks

Intro to Programming using Sugar Activities - Etoys and Turtle Blocks

Built on the ideas and technologies for One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) and the Sugar Labs software (remixed as IAEP - It's An Education Project). High schools students can learn about computing and programming by getting Sugar to run on their school-issued laptops, learning programming using the Sugar Activities Etoys and Turtle Blocks, and finally using these tools to create interactive science and math lessons. There are lots of opportunities for tie-ins and integration into other curriculum areas - English, Spanish, Social Studies, as well as Math, Science and Technology, as well as for Community Service - mentoring K-8 students locally and modeling discovery learning for learners globally.
